Strawberry Orange
Red Sangria
with Strawberry
Kiwi Balsamic
Bright, fruity, and dangerously easy to refill — this sangria was the first thing to disappear at our Women in Business Tasting & Networking evening.
We poured this sangria at our Women in Business Tasting & Networking evening, and by the second hour the pitcher was empty and three people had asked for the recipe before they'd even left the store.
Most sangria leans on sugar or a splash of triple sec to round out the wine. We skip both. A few tablespoons of our Strawberry Kiwi Balsamic Vinegar does the sweetening and the brightening at the same time, so the whole pitcher tastes layered instead of just sweet.
It's a two-ingredient trick, really: good red wine and one bottle from the shop. Everything else is just fruit and a little patience while it chills.
Why Balsamic Instead of Simple Syrup
Simple syrup only does one job: sweet. Our Strawberry Kiwi Balsamic does three at once — sweet, tart, and a little floral, since it's built on real fruit and aged vinegar instead of just sugar water. Once you taste the difference side by side, it's hard to go back to a plain syrup sangria.
The whole pitcher is just wine and one bottle from the shop. That's the entire trick.
— The Olive 'n Vinnie's KitchenA little goes a long way here, so don't be tempted to double it thinking more is better — a quarter cup across a full bottle of wine is the sweet spot.

Sweetens The Whole Pitcher
Strawberry Kiwi Balsamic Vinegar
A vibrant, naturally sweet balsamic built on real strawberry and kiwi. It does the job of simple syrup and orange liqueur in one pour, and it's just as good in mocktails, over fruit, or splashed into sparkling water on its own.

Strawberry Orange Red Sangria
The pitcher that didn't make it to the end of the night.
Ingredients
- 1 bottle red wine
- ¼ cup Strawberry Kiwi Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 cup sparkling water
- Ice, for serving
Instructions
- Combine the red wine, Strawberry Kiwi Balsamic, sliced strawberries, and orange slices in a large pitcher.
- Chill for 1–2 hours to let the fruit and balsamic infuse the wine.
- Right before serving, top with the sparkling water.
- Pour over ice and serve with a spoonful of the macerated fruit in each glass.
Make It Your Own
Swap the red wine for a dry rosé or white for a lighter, brighter version — the balsamic works beautifully with either. Add sliced kiwi to the pitcher for a garnish that nods directly to the balsamic itself, or muddle a few extra strawberries in first for a deeper color and more fruit in every pour.
This same Strawberry Kiwi Balsamic is fantastic in mocktails too — a splash in sparkling water with a few muddled strawberries makes a beautiful zero-proof version of this same drink. Come taste it at the shop before you commit to a bottle.
Come taste before you buy.
